I came to know one of my sweet brides through our wedding consultation and engagement session, but learned so much more about her at the rehearsal dinner. In his toast to her marriage, her older brother disclosed that she leaves no detail unplanned. I found that to be true when I checked into my hotel and there was a gift bag with my name on it. In eight years of wedding photography I don’t ever recall receiving a gift bag! To say I felt appreciated and special is an understatement! I savored every item included (and devoured many of them). It was such a thoughtful gesture by the bride I decided its contents deserved its very own blog post!
The bride was from Selma so highlighted items from local vendors. Here’s a peek inside:
Here is information on the vendors:
Mar Mar’s Cheese Sticks 931.703.2105
Revival Coffee made in Selma AL at Arsenal Place; a portion of the proceeds are donated to various charities in hopes of a “revival” of the Black Belt Region
Joe C. Williams Pecan Pie, located in Camden AL, operating in Wilcox County since 1952 http://www.joecwilliams.com/
Southern Flavor Seasoning made & packaged in Selma (didn’t make it into a photo because it had already been carried to my kitchen!) http://www.southernflavor.com/
Handmade Soap by Laura Spencer (Simply Making It) of Spencer Organic Farms https://www.facebook.com/CSAatSpencerFarm and https://www.facebook.com/pages/Simply-Making-It/199837730041954?fref=ts
Spiced Pecans using Frank Stitt’s recipe from the Southern Table Cookbook
The M&Ms, while not from the Black Belt Region, were appropriate because they reflect the initials of the bride’s name
After the photo session I realized the Baby Bundt Cakes were from the reception and not the gift bag but they were certainly yummy! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Grannas-Goodies/185885008123635
Every detail planned and beautifully executed and much appreciated 🙂

I am currently between studios. While the plan was to move from the current location to the new one, the new location is not ready yet. So I will temporarily be without a physical studio location for a month or so. However, I will continue to accept on-location sessions. I am just moving -- not closing.
