Wednesday is Valentines Day, so I make no apologies for making the first three posts this week directed towards food and flowers. I’ll get back to people posts on Thursday.
For the bakers out there: The idea for these cookies came from the most recent issue of Better Homes and Garden magazine and the recipe can be found on their website. In an effort to go cruelty-free this year I substituted Nutiva shortening (looks like butter — not what you think of as shortening) for the butter in the recipe.
I’m fairly new to baking and added too much food coloring. Next time I’ll know. Live and learn, right?
For the photographers stopping by: Photographed with a Canon 5D Mark IV with a Lensbaby Composer Pro using the Sweet 50. f/4, ISO 400, 100s, Alien Bees B400 because it’s been overcast and raining all week. Post processing in Lightroom.

I am currently between studios. While the plan was to move from the current location to the new one, the new location is not ready yet. So I will temporarily be without a physical studio location for a month or so. However, I will continue to accept on-location sessions. I am just moving -- not closing.
