Willow VI, Trained Facility Dog
Montgomery AL
Willow VI is a professionally trained facility dog who works with victims, witnesses, and others at One Place Family Justice Center in Montgomery AL. I had the honor of meeting and photographing her this summer for River Region Living Magazine. At the time Darlene Hutchinson Biehl wrote the article for RRL (July 2015), Willow VI was the only official Courthouse Dog in Alabama.
Willow is a 3-year old Labrador/Retriever mix. She primarily works with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and elder abuse.
I invited Willow’s handler to bring her by the studio for professional portraits she could use in the promotion of Willow’s work. Here’s a little of what we were able to capture for them.
I do not charge for portraits of service dogs. If you own one, please feel free to contact me for details. It is a small way that I can contribute to your mission and express my gratitude for your service to our community.
