Most of the time the heirloom portrait session is scheduled for one child in a controlled environment. However, there’s the occasional image from a regular family session that just begs to be treated in a special way.
Here’s an example from a recent family session.
Little Ava is just a beautiful child and usually enjoys having her picture taken by family members. But I’m a stranger to her so she was a bit reluctant. While photographing other family members I glanced behind me and saw this sweet face studying me. I seized the moment to get a quick snap. I knew the minute it happened I’d want to turn it into a hand-rendered mixed media portrait. So, with her parents permission, I did just that.
Here’s a comparison to the original image.
During our safer-at-home times it may be possible for me to produce a hand-rendered mixed media portrait from an image you already have. I’d just need to check the file size and lighting to be sure before proceeding.
