Those special hand-rendered mixed media portraits I refer to as Heirloom Portraits aren’t just for people. Hopefully, we’ve all had or have a special pet we’d love to remember or showcase. While I’d prefer to photograph them for the portrait, that isn’t always possible. Here’s an example using one of my grand dogs. He was absolutely the best German Shepherd ever and we all still miss him terribly. I’m including the image used to produce the Heirloom Portrait below so you can see what can be done from a photo you may already have.
