The idea of personal branding is becoming more common today as we seek to communicate our strengths and passions in a digitally-driven world. This is particularly important when starting a new business venture. As distrust in traditional advertising is increasing, entrepreneurs are turning to personal branding in social media to engage with potential clients.

One of the best ways to increase your visibility and attract your ideal client is to include professional photos. At one time a headshot was enough. Today people want more. Build trust with your potential clients and communicate your skills through multiple photographs taken during a professional branding session.

That is exactly what Spicy Lemon Marketing did when they joined forces to form their company in 2021.

Spicy Lemon Marketing is a digital marketing agency for small businesses and organizations. They focus on e-commerce, nonprofits, education, fitness and health and the military community. They had a clear vision of what they wanted to communicate about themselves and their mission when I first talked with them. We were easily able to come up with a plan to help them achieve that through images.

One of the partners lives in Spain. As much as I wanted to take a trip there to do her session I stayed in Montgomery and did Natalie’s half of the branding session. We tried to overcome language issues and communicate with the photographer in Spain so there would be consistency.

Here are just a few highlights from Natalie’s personal branding session:

We included a traditional headshot but gave her several options to use during the year.
Working shots were included to showcase Natalie at work and in conference with her business partner in Spain.
We did many shots of Natalie in front of a white backdrop so they could be easily pulled into social media posts by adding copy or by cutting them out to add to another background.
Finally, we included a few detail shots that will help to tell the story of their business.
