Clients will usually provide me with a shot list when they hire me for a commercial shoot so I can provide the images they invisions for their magazine article, ad, campaign, etc. That was true when Alabama Magazine recently contacted me to photograph Sanctuary Cigars in Montgomery AL for their September/October issue. After going over the requests with the editor, she ended with the directive I love to hear, “Be creative.” I took far longer than the shoot required taking close-ups and smoke rising in the air. Here are a few of my favorites which did not appear in the magazine.
