I had no way of knowing 12 years ago that the two little kindergarteners I was photographing would still be best friends when they started their senior year of high school. I was so thrilled when they were willing to recreate their session from 2008. Unfortunately, the external drive that contained the digital files from their 2008 session must be corrupted because I can’t get it to work on an Mac or a PC 🙁 Fortunately, I’d printed the images so was at least able to take photographs of the prints. It was so much fun and such an honor to show them those pictures and have them try to recreate them.

What an gratifying experience for me as a photographer.

Two closing thoughts on this post: (1) Print your files and make backups of your digital files. (2) Document those important milestones and people with professional photos.

I maintain a small studio off Carmichael Road in Montgomery AL and many sessions are scheduled on location. All sessions are by appointment only.
