I recently had the opportunity to work with Bona, a family-owned company that provides products for the installation, maintenance, and renovation of wood floors. Though headquartered in Sweden, my contact was with the US branch located in Colorado.

The Bona Certified Craftsman, Mark Sharpe of Hardwood Solutions, LLC, was hired by the Rosa Parks Museum to refinish the floor of their exhibit hall. My job was to go by during the 5-day project and take photos of the process from beginning to completion.

This turned into a really fun project for me. It was fascinating to watch the process.

From the contacts at Bona to the staff at the Museum, everyone connected to this project was knowledgeable and accommodating. Mark and his crew were among the most conscientious and courteous companies I’ve worked with, either professionally or personally. The staff of the museum even commented on how courteous they were during the process. After watching them throughout the week I can recommend them without reservation.

Here’s just a small sample of what I was able to send to Bona of the project:

Sanding the existing floor.
Bona wanted images that showed the sander in use as well as the ease in changing the belts.
Adding the filler.
Sanding after the filler has dried.
Application of stain.
Application of sealer.
Completed project with current exhibit.

Bona also provides consumer products for home use. Look for them at Wal-Mart or Ace Hardware.

I really enjoy commercial photography and welcome your inquiry concerning a project you have in mind to promote a product or service for your company.

All sessions are on location by appointment only.
