Cotton fields blanket the southern landscape in the fall and provide a beautiful setting for a family session. I was able to invite one of my favorite families to a session in a cotton field this fall.

The cotton has all been harvested this year. It’s really best to think a year in advance if you want to use cotton as your backdrop. There is a short window of time between the application of the chemical that causes the leaves to drop and the harvest.
